Cramps and Chaos in an animated podcast on endometriosis and adenomyosis.
The project is dedicated to spreading awareness of these diseases, and it focuses on sharing the experiences of those who live with the conditions, offering them a safe space to share their stories and talk about endometriosis from the many points of view of the many people who live with it.
We’re no experts on the matter; that’s not the point of this podcast, and there is no right or wrong answer. We, individuals who suffer endo and adeno, have to advocate for ourselves.
The story follows the life of Lu, a young woman with endometriosis who sets out to interview people who also live with the condition, searching for answers.

Endometriosis is a life-altering illness for those who live with it, although it can be invisible to others. It’s not just about physical pain—it’s about the isolation, confusion, and gaslighting that comes with it. It’s a condition that digs its claws deep, not just into the body but into the soul, leaving millions of women feeling unseen, unheard, and alone. This podcast aims to try and change that. The young woman who’s the main character of the podcast is determined to break her silence and connect with others who share her experience, and in order to do so she decides to start recording a podcast. Fueled by loneliness, moments of anger, hopelessness, and desperation, she sets out to interview women with endometriosis, shedding light on their stories.
The narrative blends scripted scenes with real-life interviews, combining 2d animation and live action. Each episode tackle a different topic, like pain, diagnosis (and the difficulty to get diagnosed), treatments, mental health, fertility, and the societal stigmas around women’s health. It’s part storytelling, part advocacy: a project designed to not only connect those with endometriosis but also push for a broader understanding of what they go through.
Each episode dives into these conversations while offering glimpses into Lu’s day-to-day life: waking up, making tea, or simply getting through the day. Her world is set in a vibrant, futuristic city where characters are human/animal hybrids. The colourful and funky appearance of her world and the people around her contrast the sad and often misunderstood reality of life with endometriosis, combining the importance of spreading awareness with real moments that portrait what it means to be a woman living with endo, telling the stories through a feminist lens.
There will be blood..talk - This podcast isn’t just about sharing stories, it’s about changing the narrative. By mixing humor and serious topics, with vivid and fun visuals, it opens the door to a discussion that more often than not is in the dark, while never shying away from difficult truths and subjects.
